Book cover for "Compassionate Parenting for Girls 9-16," a guide for conscious parenting.

Griselda Pineda, PsyD, LMFT

Helping parents, professionals, and communities cultivate awareness, emotional resilience, and compassionate connection.

Parenting, healing, and leadership all begin in the same place: the willingness to pause and become aware.

My work brings together mindfulness practice, developmental psychology, attachment science, emotional regulation, and lived human experience to help people respond to life's challenges with greater wisdom and compassion.

Whether I am sitting with a family in therapy, teaching a mindfulness class, facilitating a workshop, or writing, my intention remains the same:

To help people discover that awareness creates choice, and that compassion can transform relationships across generations.

About Griselda Pineda

Dr. Griselda Pineda, PsyD, LMFT, is a licensed psychotherapist, mindfulness teacher, educator, and founder of Cognitive Behavioral Services.

For more than a decade, she has worked with individuals, families, and communities navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, parenting challenges, and life transitions. Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with mindfulness, self-compassion, attachment theory, and nervous system awareness.

Dr. Pineda holds advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed care and has extensive experience supervising and mentoring mental health professionals. Her work is deeply informed by the understanding that emotional healing occurs not only through insight, but through safe, compassionate relationships.

She is currently completing the internationally recognized Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP), founded by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, where she continues to deepen her practice of mindfulness, loving awareness, and relational healing.

Her teaching reflects a simple but powerful belief:

When we learn to meet ourselves with compassion, we create the conditions for others to flourish.

A PERSONAL NOTE

During the years I spent writing my first book, I discovered that parenting and mindfulness were leading me toward a deeper exploration of belonging, compassion, and shared humanity.

I have come to believe that our lives are not measured by how perfectly we perform our roles, but by our willingness to return—to presence, to kindness, and to connection—especially when life feels difficult.

Whether you have found your way here as a parent, a professional, a student, or simply another human being navigating life's uncertainties, I hope this work offers a reminder that healing is possible, relationships can be repaired, and awareness can become a path toward greater freedom.

Notice it. Let it be. Gently return.
